Although we are generally not in the business of news and politics, it is increasingly necessary in today’s world to keep up with global developments, and there is one that I think is particularly worthy of note.

Recently, Egyptian-born, Saudi-funded “Sheik” Yusuf Qaradawi proclaimed “Shiites are Muslims but they are heretics and their danger comes from their attempts to invade Sunni society…What is happening is organized, an invasion… It is not a religious invasion but a political one. Iran is trying to impose itself on those around it.” His ridiculous warnings and his “generous” acceptance of Shias as Muslims are comical enough alone. But the Wahhabi propaganda machine didn’t stop there.

When Muslims throughout the region, Sunni and Shia, united in condemning his non-sense, he sought to explain himself: “I am trying to preempt the threat before it gets worse. If we let Shiites penetrate Sunni societies, the outcome won’t be praiseworthy. The presence of Shiites in Iraq and Lebanon is the best evidence of instability.” Right Mr. Qaradawi. Its the SHIA who foment violence and instability in Iraq and Lebanon. Not the Saudi-sponsored lunatics and agents (like yourself) in both mentioned countries. And furthermore- lets say that the claim of Shia attempts at intellectually “invading” Sunni countries is plausible. If you are so confident that your intepretation of Islam is true, what do you fear? Why don’t you simply present yours, with all of the money you have, along with the overwhelming Sunni population in countries like your native Egypt, and leave it at that? Isn’t that how civilized beings operate? Isn’t that how true Muslims operate? Or would you prefer defending your interpretations against others by force and fitna?

Perhaps I’m the fool for trying to find reason in the words of someone who justifies his ludicrous allegations and fear with this: “When I left Egypt 47 years ago, it had not a single Shiite and now there are many… who took them to Shiism? Egypt is the cradle of Sunnism and the country of Al-Azhar.”

I think the Sunni thinker Fahmy Huweidi summed it up best: “Qaradawi’s comments revealed two parallel trends in the Islamic world, ‘one that is busy defending the sect, the other busy defending the Islamic nation.'”

Allah written in Arabic in the clouds.

Life is but the shadow of a cloud – the dream of a sleeper.

Imam Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib (AS)

لیلة القدر

Image The Night of Power/Majesty/Destiny/Decree/Predestination, or anything else you can think of in the limited English vocabulary to attempt the translation of this very, very special night.

This night marks the anniversary of, not only the first revelation (in the Qur’an) to the Prophet Mohammad(sawas), but also the completion of the Final Message of Islam:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

[97:1]  Verily! We have sent it (this Quran) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree)

[97:2]  And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is?

[97:3]  The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, (i.e. 83 years and 4 months).

[97:4]  Therein descend the angels and the Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] by Allah\’s Permission with all Decrees,

[97:5]  Peace! (All that night, there is Peace and Goodness from Allah to His believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn.

To keep things impartial, let us observe a hadith in regards to this majestic evening by an Imam that has served as the scholar of all our teachers:

On the night of Qadr , the fate of every believer for the coming year is also determined. It is reported from Imam Ja’ffar ibn Muhammad as-Sadiq (AS): “During Laylatul-Qadr, the angels, the spirit and the trusted scribes, all descend to the lower heavens and write down whatever God decrees for that year. And if God wishes to advance something, or postpone it, or add thereto, He (SWT) orders the angel to erase it and replace it with whatever He decrees”. (Tafseer-e-Namoona)

Salaam ou alaykum.

This is in response to the flier challenge made by the Nasibis (Kharijites) to Shia Muslims.  You have the nerve to run your mouth about Shia’s when your terrorist sect is so full of holes and dirty teachings.  I suggest you pick up a book and read.

With popular demand on the explanation of Mut’aa, I present to you:  “Is Mut’aa forbidden”?

Quran: Surah: Nisa(4) Verse:24And all married women are forbidden save those whom your right hand possess. (This is) Allah’s written ordinance for you. Except for these, allowed to you are all women; that you seek them in exchange for wealth to marry, not for debauchery. As to those whom you have married for a fixed time (Mut’aa), give them there agreed dowries; and there is no sin for you in what you mutually agree together after what has been settled. Verily, Allah is all-Knowing, Wise.

Let me break down the verse for you and show you the Qareena(indicators) that you so strongly desire:

We recently made some changes to the look and feel of this website.  Sometimes you need to flush out your cache to see the changes.  To do this, simply hold down “CTRL” and press the “F5” key.  Any site suggestions?  Feel free to comment.  Salaam ou alaykum.

I am very opposed to giving any type of publicity or attention to hateful and counterproductive members of our society; but, some things need to be brought to the attention of these “thinkers”.  If intellectual discourse includes hateful chants and violent rhetoric, then by all means these men are “thinkers”.  This group of second generation New Yorkers seem to be doing everything humanly possible to curb the natural conversion rates to Islam.  Subhan’Allah, Islam is by far the fastest growing religion in the world, having recently surpassed Catholicism to be the world’s largest religion— period.  Yet this Khawārij offshoot seems to take it upon themselves to, not only attack Christian and Jewish ideologies, but also attack we Shi’as.  Calling us such derogatory terms as “kufr”, that we “support prostitution, and are sympathetic towards transsexuals.    They attempt to put forth the front that they are from Ahlul Sunnah wa Jam’aa; but Ahlul Sunnah accept Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb(as).  If we Shia are kufr, then the Islamic Thinkers Society are hypocrites.  Go ask your politician Sheiks which of these two are worse titles to carry.  Further– don’t associate yourselves with the mainstream Islamic School of Thought.  By doing so, you are just trying to make fitnah and sow discord and schism within Islam.  Your fundamentalist Wahhabi-inspired method of thinking is very dangerous and leads you down a path that is not siraat al mustaqeem.  I have looked at your charges towards the Shia School of Thought (via your poorly written flier) and it only further leads me to conclude you have never studied outside of what you now believe to be true:

  • Mut’aa is in the Qur’an (4:24).  If you want to follow umr (LA), and make bid’aa against the Glorious Qur’an then do that– but you will be kufr.  No one’s ruling trumps the Qur’an and you know it like we do.
  • Taqiyya is in the Qur’an (3:28; 16:106).  We will be the first to agree with you that the Shirazi’s have misused and misunderstood the tafseer for the application of taqiyya.  Yet, this does not negate this choice given to us by Allah(swt) and if you think you can overrule the Qur’an with your bid’aa, you are gravely incorrect.
“[Yusuf Ali 16:106] Any one who, after accepting faith in Allah, utters Unbelief, except under compulsion, his heart remaining firm in Faith, but such as open their breast to Unbelief, on them is Wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a dreadful Penalty.”
“[Yusuf Ali 3:28] Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah.”

Ibn Kathir says:“(unless you indeed fear a danger from them) meaning, except those believers who in some areas or times fear for their safety from the disbelievers. In this case, such believers are allowed to show friendship to the disbelievers outwardly, but never inwardly. For instance, Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu Ad-Darda’ said, “We smile in the face of some people although our hearts curse them. Al-Bukhari said that Al-Hasan said, “The Taqiyya is allowed until the Day of Resurrection

As far as your calling Iran the “transsexual revolution”, I pity your misunderstanding.  Khomeini allowed sex changes for people that were born transgendered– not for the people that you’ve partied with in the streets of New York during their parades.  What did you accomplish by being so close to these disgusting individuals?  Did you change them?  Of course not.  All you did was take your precious time to be near them.

We, at ShiaCrescent.Com formally accept your challenge to refute the weak claims in your flier, as well as formally challenge you to a public debate.  You could chant “Khaybar, khaybar” to Jews living in America, yet you are so quick to forget who was the standard-bearer of the Islamic Army and champion of that battle.  Go read on what the Prophet Muhammed (sawas) says about those who do not accept Imam Ali(as).  Maybe this will make you rethink some of your “positions”.

I promise if you accept the challenge we will embarrass you more thoroughly than Glenn Beck did.  You claim to be intellectuals.  So we shall see.

Peace be upon those who deserve it.

Annie Besant“It is impossible for anyone who studies the life and character of the great Prophet of Arabia, who knows how he taught and how he lived, to feel anything but reverence for that mighty Prophet, one of the great messengers of the Supreme. And although in what I put to you I shall say many things which may be familiar to many, yet I myself feel whenever I re-read them, a new way of admiration, a new sense of reverence for that mighty Arabian teacher.”

so many times I hear Sunni’s come forth and say that Umm Kulthum(as), daughter of Imam Ali(as) was married to Omar(la). Wrong!!! Let me set the record straight now, incase you were misinformed by your politician of a Sheikh. She was NOT married to him, here Husband was Aun bin Ja’far, who was the son of Imam Ali’s(as) brother. Mathematically it can be proven that she was not married to Omar. According to the politicians, Umm Kulthum and Omar ibn al-Khattab were married in the year 17 Hijri, when Umm Kulthum was 4 or 5 years old. That means she would have been born around the year 12 or 13 Hijri. So you mean Imam Ali(as) allowed his daughter to marry at 4 or 5 years old? Wow, anything to try to justify their idols. Anyways, now we expose these liars. If the Prophet Muhammad(saw) died in the year 11 Hijri, and Fatimah al-Zahra(as) died 6 months later, how in the world could Umm Kuthum(as) have been born after the death of her Mother(as). Even Sahih Bukhari confirms she died 6 months later. Sahih Bukhari:Volume:5 Book:59 Hadith:546, not to mention its also the hadith about Abu Bakr(la) stealing her land that Allah(swt) gave to her. Quran: Surah:17 verse:26
