Q: What is the view of Your Eminence regarding what is found in media (satellite TV canals and internet) that is explicit insult and disgrace towards the wives of the Holy Prophet of Islam (S.W.A) using offensive language against her and charging her with things that throw her chastity and honor as a wife of the Nobel Prophet Muhammad (S.W.A) into question? It goes without saying that these behaviors have created great troubles within the Islamic Ummah and put the Muslims, especially the followers of Ahl al-Bayt (a.), in a state of stress.

A: It is ḥarām to disgrace the figures of our Sunni brothers, let alone charging the wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his household) with things that throw her chastity into question, rather, it is impossible for the wives of the prophets, especially those of the Master of the prophets, the great Messenger of Allah (S.W.A). *

If one is to take a look at the many sites which critique the Jafarri School of Thought, one sees a common article plastered somewhere on the site. The article usually has the same title, always the same content, and many times no credit is given to the original writer of the article.

At first look the article seems difficult to respond to, but on further notice, like all lies, the article proves to be nothing more than an unlettered diatribe, full of misquotes, partial quotes, and made up quotes.

From the well-known to the unknown, Muslims had offered their bodies as “human shields” for last night’s mass, making a pledge to collectively fight the threat of Islamic militants and towards an Egypt free from sectarian strife. (more…)

The following sayings of the Holy Prophet of Islam are taken from Ayatollah Imani’s book A Bundle of Flowers, in which he has taken the great care of carefully selecting various traditions, from various sources, of the Prophet of Islam, and his Ahlul Bait. I, for this post, have only selected the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad. I hope the readers of these sayings can benefit from them. (more…)
